-Intermediate: some running experience, can run 3 miles without stopping
-Advanced: experienced runner, has participated in distance track or XC

Check all of the workouts to see what works best for you. If you aren’t sure, email a coach and ask.

Who should I talk to if I have questions?

Summer Running Tips and Info

Running Tips:
1. Get a sports watch. Target and Walmart sell them for about $10.

2. Get running shoes. Run On and Luke’s Locker do a great job looking at your feet and fitting you with a shoe that is appropriate for your specific needs. Mention that you run for LHHS and they will give you a 10% student discount.

3. Drink lots of water. Running in the summer heat will make you sweat and you need to be ready for that.

4. Beat the heat. Run early in the morning or later in the evening…midday is too hot.

5. Run with a buddy. Meet at LHHS track at 7:30 Tuesdays and Thursdays to meet teammates and run with other people who are your level. Bring a friend.

6. Run AND cross-train. Lifting weights and extra cross training is highly recommended, but running is vital.
